Italo-Brazilian conductor Simone Menezes is renowned for her exceptional musical and artistic intelligence and innovative performances. Based in France, highlights of the upcoming season include Simone Menezes leading the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Barcelona Liceu, Osaka Philharmonic, BBC Wales, as well as her new project with Ensemble K at the Boulez Saal in Berlin. Last season's highlights included Ensemble K's DVD "Metanoia" winning the International Classical Music Awards for best "Performance & Documentaries," and the Amazonia CD with Zurich Philharmonia released by Alpha. Simone has also been honored as one of the "100 femmes de culture" in France. Additionally, she appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony, and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra on a tour in Latin America, among others.
